Hurricane Fiona - Impacts to Hockey Operations

On behalf of the Association, we hope everyone has remained safe and is managing through the aftermath of Hurricane Fiona. Hurricane Fiona has undoubtedly left a path of destruction which has affected all Islanders. Our cities and communities have substantially damaged homes, businesses, community centers, and the landscape. The cleanup and restoration will take time. As a hockey community, we should come together to support one another during these uncertain and trying times.
Currently, most hockey operations have been put on hold due to ice availability. Many rink facilities have lost power and cannot maintain the ice surfaces. It will take some time to regain power and restart the ice-making process. The Association will work closely with Hockey PEI and the facilities to determine a safe return to hockey. We will continue to provide updates on the status of our hockey operations.
Our main priority is and will remain our members' safety and recovery efforts over the coming days and weeks.
Please remain safe, and we wish everyone a speedy and successful recovery.
