2022-23 CMHA Recreational Hockey Registration Now Open
2022-09-11Registration for the U21 recreational hockey group for the 2022/23 season is now open. Registration is online only through the Charlottetown Minor Hockey website.
The U21 Recreational group is non-checking and is for players between the ages of 18-21 who do not currently play junior hockey at any other level. This is run by Charlottetown Minor Hockey but registration is open to players who have played with any association previously and also to students from off Island attending school. This is not a formal league but rather pick up style hockey for recreation only. The U21 Rec ice times will begin in mid-October and ending in mid-March. Ice times are 10:15 P.M. at the Bell Aliant Centre on Monday evenings.
There is a zero tolerance policy in place for this group regarding fighting and aggressive play. Officials will be present for each ice time and any player ejected for fighting or other major penalty will be given a prorated refund, based on the number of remaining ice times, and will not be welcome back for the remainder of the season.
In order to register, the player's birthdate must be between January 1, 2002 and December 31, 2004. The registration cost is $250.00 (free for goaltenders), which includes full Hockey Canada Insurance Coverage allowing players to wear a half visor while participating.
A maximum of 30 skaters and 3 goaltenders will be accepted. All players must be registered using our online registration system with full payment made before the first session. You must complete a separate registration and payment for each player being registered. Registrations will be accepted until the program is full.
