On Friday, October 1st, the Province of PEI released more detailed information regarding implementing the PEI VAX Pass on Tuesday, October 5th, 2021. Please carefully read the information provided by CPHO on the government website.

Summary:
- All minor hockey players 18 years of age and younger can play hockey on PEI this season regardless of vaccination status.
- All spectators 12 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated and present proof of vaccination to enter a rink on Prince Edward Island.
- All volunteers of SPRMHA must be fully vaccinated and present proof of vaccination. This includes all team staff (coaches, managers, and trainers) and members of the Board of Directors of SPRMHA.
- All referees and timekeepers 12 years of age and older must be fully vaccinated and present proof of vaccination.
- Medical exemption letters from CPHO "Only" are available to allow users continued access to Cody Banks, Simmons and Bell Aliant Sports Centres and the other rinks on Prince Edward Island for members of our community unable to be vaccinated at this time.
We ask our members to prepare for Tuesday, October 5th, by ensuring you all have your proof of vaccination and ID on hand for all minor hockey events. This includes, but is not limited to, tryouts, games and practices.
Teams will provide a COVID Liasion who will be required to check vaccination status for all participants (excluding minor hockey players 18 years of age and younger) and spectators upon entry into our facilities.
Hockey PEI and CPHO are working on further communication specific to minor hockey on Prince Edward Island. We will provide timely information as it becomes available.
The Association asks for your complete understanding and cooperation through this process.
