U11 Sherwood-Parkdale Team 2 Falcons Win Provincial Championship

The Sherwood-Parkdale Team 2 Falcons rallied from a 3-1 deficit to defeat North Star 5-3 in the championship game of the provincial U11 Male Tier 1 hockey championships Sunday in Pownal.

The team went through the robin-robin portion of the championship with a 2-0-1 record, having tied North Star 2-2 in their first game of the playoffs.

The gold medal capped off an almost perfect season for the club, as they lost only two games all year.

Team members include head coaches Chris Linzel-Waddell and John Stavert, assistant coach Rob Stavert, goaltenders Ryder Swansburg and Percy Harper, defencemen Ethan Affleck, Matthew Small, Alex Stavert, Christian Covey, Tage MacDonald and Phil Stavert and forwards Drew Wilson, Brandon Smith, Lincoln Radanovich, Jaxon Linzel-Waddell, Nolan Gorrill, Elias El Klhoury, Simon Croucher, Archer Callaghan and Cameron Gauthier.
