***IMPORTANT NOTICE*** CPHO RECOMMENDATION REGARDING TRAVEL OUT OF PROVINCE
2020-11-23To all members,
Following today’s updated Public Health restrictions, Hockey PEI would like to outline an important recommendation given by the Chief Public Health Office of PEI. Anyone who has returned from Nova Scotia or New Brunswick in the past week (Since November 16th, 2020), should limit their contacts, should arrange testing if symptoms appear, and a mask should be worn at all times — including when in the presence of other people outdoors. As for children who are returning from those provinces the CPHO recommends that while they can continue to go to school, they should not attend functions like sporting events (Ie: Hockey or Ringette) for the 2-week (14 days) period ending on November 30th, 2020.

You will notice this is a recommendation, but we need to ensure we err on the side of caution and suspend any ice time for players who have returned from Nova Scotia or New Brunswick in the past week and fall within this timeframe. It will be the responsibility of parents and players to be upfront with their teams and follow the recommended guidelines set forth by the Chief Public Health Office.
