Sherwood Falcons Bantam A Tier 1 Champions

 

Sherwood Falcons Team 2 entered the competition as 4th seed from the East and went undefeated in the round robin with 2 wins and a tie to place 1st overall in their division, putting them in the semi finals against the 2nd seeded team from the West, Tyne Valley. In the semi final Sherwood Team 2 was lead by strong goal tending by Alexander Drake to narrowly win 1-0 over Tyne Valley giving them their birth in the Championship game vs the strong 1st place seeded team from the East, Charlottetown Abbie's Team 2 who also went undefeated in the round robin and Semi-finals out scoring their opponents 21-3.

 

Sherwood Falcons in the face of adversity opened up the scoring in the 1st period of the Championship game vs Charlottetown Team 2 with a shot from the point by Pete Christie. Charlottetown 2 responded by tying up the match in the 2nd. The Falcons continued to battle the Abbie's when Aiden Morrison scored what ended up being the winning goal early in the 3rd period.Michael Gallant mid third added an insurance goal to seal the deal.
