Sherwood Falcons Bantam A T2 on winning the "5th Annual Hockey Classic"

Congratulations to the Sherwood Falcons Bantam A T2 on winning the "5th Annual Hockey Classic" held this past weekend in O'Leary, PEI.

The Falcons went 2 and 1 in the Round robin with come from behind wins over Bedford White from NS and North River 2 putting them into the semi finals in Tyne Valley at 8am Sunday morning.

In the Semi final Sherwood faced the strong Bedford Blue who went 3-0 in the round robin. Sherwood again came from behind to tie up the game 3-3 in the 3rd forcing overtime. Michael Gallant picked up the winning goal in overtime to put the Falcons into the Championship game. In the Championship game overtime was needed again as the score was 0-0 after 3 periods of play led by strong goal tending by both the Bedford Blues and Sherwood's Alexander Drake. In overtime the Falcons fought of 3 penalties and continued to pressure Bedford until Michael Gallant one timed a perfect pass from Cameron Whitlock to end the Challenge!
