Female Hockey Registry Launched for 2016-2017 Season
2016-06-26Hockey PEI
June 23, 2016 If you’re a female interested in playing hockey next season then Hockey PEI wants to hear from you! Through the leadership of Hockey PEI Minor Council and the Female Steering Committee, a Central Registry has been created for all female players interested in playing hockey next season. This registry will assist efforts to gauge anticipated participant numbers in all regions in order to better establish leagues and teams amongst the member associations. This registry which is a survey format, is not the official registration process for membership next season but will provide pre-registration information for planning purposes. Players will not pay any fees at this pre-registration stage but will still officially register for minor hockey next season with their home association or zone team. Hockey PEI encourages all female players to register regardless of what division or level you may wish to participate next season. This includes female players that traditionally may want to play on a male team. “With the establishment of this Central Registry for female hockey, we feel it will give Minor Council, the Female Steering Committee, and the Minor Hockey Associations a better handle on numbers earlier in the process and help all stakeholders better prepare for the season in the female game”, stated Al MacIsaac chair of Hockey PEI Minor Council. “We encourage all females players who will be playing next season or may be considering playing to take a couple of minutes and complete the registry process”. The link for the registry is: Female Central Registry Link As a means to encourage participation in the survey, Hockey PEI will be offering prizing for individuals that complete pre-registration through the Central Registry. Various prizing will be awarded but the Grand Prize is FREE registration for the 2016-2017 season! For each player that does pre-register, one ballot will be used toward draw prizes and the grand prize. Please note, the grand prize has no cash value and will only be granted if the winning player registers for the 2016-2017 season. All information collected will be kept confidential and only used in setting future goals and objectives. The Central Registry (survey) will remain open till July 31, 2016. Hockey PEI appreciates and thanks everyone for their participation and support in this process. FOR MORE INFORMATION: Hockey PEI Ph: (902) 368-4334 Email: info@hockeypei.com View article online
